Description
Tremulous is a multiplayer computer game, a mixture of 3D-action (FPS) and real-time strategy (RTS) genres. The game is based on the Quake III game engine and was originally created as a mod for Quake III, but is now a standalone product and does not require installation of Quake III. Tremulous is fully distributed under the GPL v2 free license.
The game is based on a military confrontation between two races – humans and aliens. The action unfolds on various space and earth objects, judging by the interior, built by humans. The aim of the game is simple – the total destruction of the creatures of the opposing race and the buildings belonging to it. The player can choose which race he will play as, it determines for him further gameplay – both races are very different in their game characteristics. Humans use small arms, aliens rely on their natural qualities – claws, teeth and fast movement. The aliens can also move around on walls and ceilings, which makes playing for them very unusual.
