Scorched 3D is a computer game, a remake of the turn-based artillery strategy game Scorched Earth. The game is completely redesigned for three-dimensional graphics. Unlike the original Scorched Earth, which is a shareware game, Scorched 3D is completely free and distributed under GNU GPL license. The game can be played against a computer opponent or online. Collective play is also present, up to 24 players can play on one computer.

Gameplay is very simple and does not require much skill. Players are placed randomly on the three-dimensional map and tend to destroy the enemy tank. Allowed to adjust the angle of rotation and power shot, as well as a choice of ammunition and inventory.

In one turn the participant can either make a shot or move their military equipment to another location. Another element of gameplay includes an economy system, where participants buy weapons and other equipment with money earned by killing enemies. Each type of ammunition or other inventory has different properties. One of the main features of the game is the graphics engine, which allows you to completely change the landscape on the map.
